About Our Guest:
Ellen Patnaude is not only a storyteller but also a leader in communication strategies. After noticing the early signs of dementia in her mom in 2016, Ellen embarked on a caregiving journey filled with unpredictability. Her mother’s rapid decline and passing in 2020 fueled Ellen’s passion to share her experience and support others. She has since become a certified Community Educator with the Alzheimer’s Association, helping caregivers and families feel less alone in their journeys.
Professionally, Ellen is a Workplace Communication Coach, working with teams and leaders to improve interactions and foster connection. She is the author of two impactful books, "I Thought You Knew…": Confessions of a Chronic Assumer (2022) and the forthcoming "You’re Not Doing It Right": Loving My Mother Through an Unpredictable Caregiving Journey (May 2024).
